Gin Fizz Cocktail
The Gin Fizz is relatively similar to an old acquaintance of ours, the Tom Collins, precisely...
with the difference of carbonated water. In addition, Gin Fizz historically uses Old Tom Gin (a sweetened, and pioneering, version of London Dry Gin), while the gin type of Tom Collins is not historically established.
The preparation requires that it be on ice, i.e. on the rocks. And in a Higball glass.
Ingredients
4.5 cl of gin
3 cl. lemon juice
1 cl of syrup (sugar dissolved in water)
8 cl of carbonated water
Ice
Gin Fizz also has variations: Silver Fizz if you add egg white; Golden Fizz if it is yolk; Royal Fizz if it is a whole egg; Diamond Fizz if you substitute sparkling wine for water; and Green Fizz if you add a dash of mint cream.
