What would be the amount of alcohol safe to avoid a hangover?

As described above, the onset of hangover is subject to many conditions but there is a maximum amount recommended or susceptible to be tolerated as "safe" because it does not alter the individual's state of consciousness or alter the metabolic functions involved in the Hangover process.

In the case of men could consume two glasses of wine (118 ml) a day and women only one, anything that exceeds those amounts or graduation could produce adverse effects on the body as the hangover to a greater or lesser extent depending on the person.

Recommendations and tips on hangover treatment

  1. Drink plenty of water. Increasing water consumption does not accelerate the decrease in alcohol in the body but it helps to eliminate toxins and keep the body hydrated.

  2. The natural juices also help to the same extent as the previous point and also provide vitamins and minerals necessary to restore those lost by alcohol.

  3. Ibuprofen may contribute to reduce hangover malaise and paracetamol should not be used to counteract hangover, as several studies have indicated that it may interfere negatively with the liver functions involved in the metabolism of alcohol.

  4. Resting enough is without a doubt the best remedy for the hangover, because during the rest the main tasks of detoxification and cellular regeneration are carried out facilitating the recovery processes.

  5. Drinking on a full stomach and preferably eating high-fat foods before drinking, slowing down their absorption and giving the body enough time to metabolize it.

  6. Glucose has also been shown to be highly effective counteracting and mitigating hangover symptoms, but it is recommended to get it from natural foods like fruit instead of refined sugars.

regarding point 3: Ibuprofen damages the mucous membrane of the stomach, which has already been damaged instantly by the alcohol. My advice would be to skip on the meds (as they all consume liver and kidney "capacities" during the detox process) or, if the pain is too strong, to take Omeprazol (PPI) with the Ibuprofen to protect your stomach from ulcera. Dont take Aspirin, as it further dilutes your blood (like the alcohol) which could lead to bleeding.
