Upon watching the recent film adaptation of Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower' I stumbled upon this review from nerdist.com

The Nerdist is a website run by self-proclaimed 'nerds' who offer reviews and commentary on games, films and comics. However, in the second paragraph of her review, Victoria McNally professes that:
"I should admit upfront that my personal knowledge of the Dark Tower series is fairly limited, so I can’t speak to how closely the movie follows the books with true expertise."
Erm... Isn't that your job?! Shouldn't it be a prerequisite as a supposed nerd to have read one of the most enduringly popular fantasy series of all time?
Or at least they could have given the job to someone who has...
Traditional media is dying and it's partly because of shite like this. Here's hoping Steemit will be a platform where we can reward writers and critics with ACTUAL expertise as opposed to this rubbish.
