Back in the day (the 1980's?), EA had a sterling reputation. They were pretty much the premier game company for early microcomputers - Apple ][, TRS-80, Commodore Vic and 64...
I find it somewhat sad to hear that their reputation is diminished.

I agree! Even when I was still young and just being introduced to video games, if I saw a game made by them I knew it was of high quality. Now, it is pretty much a crap shoot on whether or not you get a decent experience in-game or if it was a dud. Very sad.
