Oscar-winning Wallace and Gromit maker Nick Park has secured the vocal gifts of yet another intensely hot British name for Early Man, his hotly anticipated next element with activity symbols Aardman.
Maisie Williams, referred to millions around the globe as Arya Stark in HBO's Game of Thrones (a part for which she earned an Emmy selection), has now joined Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston for the ancient stone age man drama enterprise, as of now underway at Aardman's studios (which happen to be in Williams' main residence of Bristol in the U.K.).
Williams joins the cast voicing Goona, the courageous and unyielding renegade who becomes a close acquaintence with the film's legend, Dug (Redmayne), and helps steer him through the conflict of the Stone Age and Bronze Age human advancements.
"I'm a tremendous Aardman fan – having the opportunity to work with Nick Park is a blessing from heaven, particularly as I get the opportunity to voice such a phenomenal character as Goona," said Williams. "I can hardly wait for gatherings of people to meet her."
Included Park: "Maisie is a fabulous on-screen character, and she is obviously no outsider to epitomizing a valiant champion. I'm most eager to see her revive Goona – I know she'll be the ideal partner to Eddie's Dug."
