I don't see anything bad in ladies showing their love to any guy but i had issue with a lady proposing. Many guys are going through a lot which they might not be ready to share and a lady proposing at a odd hour might not be what the guy need at that moment.
I think the appropriate way for a lady to make the move is to find out what the guy is going through find, consult his most trusted friend and know when it is best to pour out his mind to the one he love.
