I have been a little away from Steemit, but it has not been for anything but good news and events that have kept me busy, I finally started working as freelancer and surprisingly the orders and offers started to rain suddenly, I have been feeling a bit nervous but happy about everything.
One of the things that made me make the decision to do this great step was to look at this series that I want to talk about today.
Girlboss is a Netflix American TV show launched in 2017, inspired by the autobiography of Sophia Amoruso, about how a young girl starts a small online sales business through Ebay, the story tells how hard it is to start from scratch, and all the work involved in running a company as a young woman.
On that path in search of success you can see how Sophia fails, and without surrendering, she continues to try it in a world dominated by men, which includes her own father. Among other things, one of the characteristics that most stands out in the series is her attitude towards life, her carefree and selfish personality. She just wants to be successful and does not care about anything other than her own success.
Nasty Gal begins as an online store that specializes in the sale of vintage clothing found in second-hand stores, then these are altered to give a chic style and fashion. In this company everything is in the hands of Sophia and her best friend Annie, a very characteristic and funny character, who from the first moment will be there to support her unconditional friend.
Girlboss treats a range of colors warm, fresh and very bright, is one of the most striking things in this series, along with the soundtracks, which refer to female power and the ability of girls to get what they want if they propose, this includes being owners and entrepreneurs of their own businesses.
Nasty Gal Fall
Despite the successes, this company is persecuted for certain statements that gave former workers in real life, the company is classified as a toxic work environment, which is not really shown in the series except for some scenes, for these and several reasons Netflix decided to cancel Girlboss so as not to have to deal with all the scandals of Sophia Amoruso.
Conclusion
Girlboss is a very entertaining TV show, with a crazy character like Sophia Marlowe who is difficult to get used to, her personality is often very irritating, but as the series progresses you can get to establish a connection with her and feel identified as happened to me to me.
It is necessary for all young people to have that moment of confrontation with themselves, set goals, give value to skills, and begin little by little to create something, we all have the potential to lift something out of nothing, we just need discipline and have the desire to start it
I give 4 out of 5 stars to this series, because Netflix did not foresee the events, and the end is unfair.
