Let me answer the question;

People are designed to seek solace form where they can find it..., when you have issues with your bf/gf the next best place to seek solace is your bestie but;
Your bestie is the opposite sex, should we even talk about how many ways this could go wrong? at a point when you are down, do you want to leave yoursefl at the mercy of an opposite sex, but you trust him or her right...,
Well thats why its easy to start making excuses once you start cheating with that so called bestie..

My conclusion; Have friends, make friends with the opposite sex but when it comes to it, know when to draw the line..., cos there are differnt forms of cheating sometimes the level of closeness with so call besties can still be termed cheating.
