The beautiful country home of artist Claude Monet in Giverny, France. Monet lived in this home forty-three years, from 1883 to 1926. He enlarged and adapted it to his artistic and professional needs. It is a very long house (131 ft.) and painted to Monet's taste...pink walls and green shutters (shutters were traditionally grey in that era). The home is surrounded by Monet's carefully landscaped gardens including the famous lily pond which inspired so many of his paintings.
