GenZ And Entrepreneurship - Doing It Their Way

in #entrepreneurs6 years ago (edited)

Among today’s middle and high schoolers, 41% say they plan on one day starting their own business. This rising, post-millennial generation, born from 1996 and onward, Gen Z already includes 61 million Americans - that’s a lot of startups.

We have seen this singular entrepreneurial spirit before, but Gen Z is taking it a step further, building upon their plans with foresight, hard work, and a little ingenuity. By age ten, 21% of Gen Zers already have their own bank account and 24% plan on paying their way through college with their own personal savings. As the oldest of Gen Z begin graduating college (they grow up so fast), their focus is on building stable, high-income careers for themselves that will not only stand the test of time, but give them opportunities to build their own businesses.

Growing up through the Great Recession and the student loan crisis has left a lasting mark in the minds of Gen Z. And they aren’t going to make the same mistakes older generations did. This infographic details the inner workings of the Gen Z mentality, how they plan on building a future, and how we can help them on their road to success.
