I thought you did a very good job at explaining this tricky topic. Bylund explains it very well and I thought that you had a very good grasp on it to explain it as well. I thought your article was very well thought out and was very easy for the reader to read and follow along with. I really liked your introduction paragraph. Companies are started with an idea, and from there, there is a lot of work that takes place in order to make the venture successful in the long run. There are so many different complications in society, and many companies do not make it, and I think this was a very important piece to include in your article because it shows new entrepreneurs that there is risk when starting a new venture, and hopefully it helps them in finding the right path to take to be successful.
Bylund uses the example of the shoemaker’s son breaking a window.
I felt that this example was very useful and knowledgeable, helping with the key points on this topic. Because of how each person is impacted by the son's activity, the ripple effect can be seen in this case. The shoemaker must fix the window, but by using that money to do so, he forfeits portion of his profit. The shoemaker would have avoided expenses by forgoing window repair and could have increased sales if his son hadn't damaged the window, as a total result. Bylund clearly states his idea of the ripple effect with a very easy and useful example creating a character in this portion of his book.
Effective and ineffective regulation was clearly stated in this portion of Bylund's book, and I felt that you did a very good job making it clear as well. Regulation is something that is so very crucial to any entrepreneur starting out, or if they have been doing it for years it is something that they should be sure to have a good grasp on for their business.
Overall I felt that your article did a very good job of explaining our readings this week, and was very well thought out and planned through. I felt that your headings did a very good job of keeping your article organized, and I also thought your picture added a very good other aspect, making your article as strong as it could be.
