I wanted to share and discuss about this one with you. This quote helped me when i was hesitating between entrepreneurship life and studies few months ago.
When you hear at Steve Jobs saying this powerful sentence, you can feel all the pain and the happiness that success brings.
Steve Jobs was driven by only one thing : create products that make things easier. He was hell of an entrepreneur and basically, he was a revolutionary. He has his own beliefs and that's why he made the Macintosh and disrupted our lives with the iPhone.
I just want us to focus on both key words of this quote.
He says "foolish" because you need to be positively crazy and tremendously passionate. Wether you're a marketer or a global activist, you perpetually need to reinvent your methods and your impact. Innovation is making the world going on. Just think about it. What if you can be part of what makes the world going on?
He says "hungry" because you have to be willing to bleed out of your eyes for your dream. He also means hungry about knowledge. What a wonderful century : Once you have a bloody internet access you can learn about mostly anything you want! Ain't this beautiful?
More and more people are identifying to successful entrepreneurs as Elon Musk, Oprah Winfrey or even Jack Ma. I assume that it's very inspiring. I've been the first to read greats books as Peter Thiel's Zero To One.
But even if you read books and make some researches about the path to success, there's only one truth : start getting yourself together, know who you are, try and learn.
I would like to conclude on this one : Just think 3 minutes about your life and your habits. Think about your passions, your main interests. I'll put a penny that anyone can be truly motivated about provoking change. And it just starts with action. No excuse, it's time for empowerment!
For the story, I stopped my studies in order to focus on what makes sense to me. I'm now working for an AI start up, willing to spread the Voice Revolution. And I'm also trying to bring my entrepreneurial project to life. Maybe I'll fail. But i would have tried, and i would have learnt.
