French ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau's films and books could make the ocean seem like a boundless and bountiful wonderland, bursting with life and blessedly isolated. But the captain himself knew better. Cousteau spoke of the threat of pollution, acidity, and temperature and how they are killing the reefs, the base of the oceans food chain in his documentaries, on the Mediterranean Sea and Oceans, and why we need to take care of the oceans, and not use them for dumping grounds, and over fishing!
Cousteau even went up against the leader of France, in 1960, protesting the dumping of nuclear waste in the Mediterranean!
He increased our knowledge of our oceans, our planet, and how intricately balanced they are!
And now we are dealing with the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Disaster.

How much time wasted, fighting the global warmign would be more easy today if some environmental regulations started then.
Exactly, but greed and other less than loving intentions, get pushed through the old paradigm of fear greed and control, through the establishment's propaganda machine!

Follow the money, it has always been a planned operation of resource extraction on all levels, from the planet, her land and waters, all forms of life, including humans. It's a system base on greed, but that's the old paradigm.
