Its not about literacy anymore, it essentially has become a social behaviour, we saw our parents litter garbage and we follow the suite, we see other people's litter already on the road and we feel no harm if we add a little more to that garbage, the norm is followed, literacy in this regard can be more importantly used to make an effort to change our lifestyle by consciously using dustbins or even pocketing/storing the garbage if no dustbin is found nearby. This will do a lot good to the environment, and believe me or not you'll start feeling good when you finally dispose of the garbage in a dustbin.

Anyway, I personally cannot imagine to dispose garbage anywhere else than into a waste bucket. If there is non, I always take packages with me until I find one. For me that's just completely normal behavior, and pictures like the ones in my article causes pain in my eyes. :)
