Eating with Intention

Setting good intentions is all fine and well,
until you realise your life hasn't changed much.

You are still getting sick, still lethargic, not losing any weight/gaining healthy weight and are ultimately unhappy.
OR we are finding that something else, something deeper is missing.... You turn to drugs, materialism, sex, toxic relationships and with newer generations sharing information so quickly with internet/cell phones we peer into different lifestyles creating worldwide awareness and empathy but we have somehow become lost. Stuck.

Seeking happiness from external sources. Texting anyone who will listen at the times we should really be looking and asking questions within and using meditation to calm these questions that arise.

Your entire soul and being, emits a weakened light. You are dull, uncreative, passing through a century simply by doing what is least expected of you. Remaining stagnant. Creating future regrets being caught up thinking about past, future and the pain you are dealing with in this very moment.

You don't see much success with these "intentions" being set.
You believe you eat well enough, you only drink alcohol once per week, you exercise when you feel you need it.

We are conditioned from the moment we are born to consume everything that dims our natural inner light/ drains our life forces to become mindless, soulless drones and it happens because we are bombarded by media, through advertisements, billboards and television. Through consumerism and a lack of true meaningful connection between others and between the organism which provides us with everything we need.
Our great mother earth.

When creating a different outlook we should accept and fully diverge into BECOMING the change. Use the knowledge we have gained and take the next steps forward to creating our highest self and healthiest planet.

"We gotta make a change
It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes
Let's change the way we eat
Let's change the way we live
And let's change the way we treat each other
You see the old way wasn't workin'
So it's on us to do what we gotta do to survive" - Tupac Shakur

This month I am "adopting" a cleanse for 20 days. To rid my body of the accumulated toxins and thereafter creating not just a "fad diet" but a conscious lifestyle that promotes the change our world needs.

A final big shift, a step into the unknown.

With technologies emerging quicker than ever, we can barely grasp and understand the consequence or potential of what these things can do for us.

We all need to feel our roots and create better relationships with the earth, return to understanding of nutrients of raw food, the purity of minimalism and what we can do to integrate a seamless lifestyle between both nature and manmade.
Technology vs. Nature.

I want to know what others are doing to make these changes happen... but to begin to change the world around you, you must start within- start today.

Hi Bec - this is my latest post: https://steemit.com/diet/@dwarrilow2002/better-dietary-options-from-canadian-study
A cleanse is good, if what you are cleaning needs to be cleaned. A person who is being starved doesn't need to be cleansed ... they need to be fed. Cleansing in that case is like bleeding used to be.

Picture a barn with a bunch of rotting boards. Cleansing these boards would be good but it would be better to replace those boards with new boards would be better. Take as an example Vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 is found only in animal foods and fortified foods. People who avoid all animal products should look for meat alternatives, such as soy products fortified with vitamin B12.

However I disagree with this because of the following:

Soy can cause some mild side effects such as constipation, bloating, and nausea. It can also cause allergic reactions involving rash and itching in some people.
Long-term use of high doses of soy dietary supplements is POSSIBLY UNSAFE. There is concern that taking high doses might cause abnormal tissue growth in the uterus. ...
Breast cancer: The effects of soy in people with breast cancer are unclear. Some research finds that soy might “feed” certain breast cancers because it can act like estrogen. Other studies have found that soy seems to protect against breast cancer. The difference in effects might have something to do with the amount taken. Because there isn’t enough reliable information about the effects of soy in women with breast cancer, a history of breast cancer, or a family history of breast cancer, it’s best to avoid using soy until more is known.

Having a 3-4 eggs per day or eating a quantity of fish would be a better option than taking in soy.

Your post really speaks to me...I am on the path to a more spiritual everything, including a higher vibration diet...my body is showing me what it doesn't want anymore, and I'm LISTENING. Thank you!

Amazing darling! Happy to be reaching out to whomever is open and listening <3
