[EOSBits AND Beyondbits Inside!] Support the Open Source Meetup Toolkit | Stage 2: Gathering Educational Materials |

in #eos-meetups7 years ago (edited)

Do you have Experience Making Tutorials/Infographics/Slideshows and other Educational Materials?

Community is at the Heart of every Movement...

But to form a scalable community, one must first focus on the tools available to those who wish to help and empower others through community initiatives. For instance, creating a meetup is not technically technically difficult. However, People have difficulty figuring out how to start and what resources they have available to make the journey easier. This is not usually out of an issue of money, but rather is due to a large amount of work that goes into coordinating such initiatives.

Yes. These doers may have the initiative, but often are lacking in basic resources from which to draw. For instance, a simple template for an effective meetup or artwork and guides all wrapped up into one place could offer an exponential return of value for what was put into its construction. The reason why is simple to be honest as it could give anyone who desires to run EOS Meetups a "Power UP" that helps to tear down the barriers of a small or one-person team running these meetups.

So EOSBits (and Beyonbits) are Sponsoring the Open Source Meetups Toolkit.

Open Source Meetups Breakdown

As with most things, this initiative must be completed in stages:

Stage 1 - Aggregate Meetup Masters (ongoing)
Stage 2 - Aggregate Newbie-Friendly Educational Materials (<---You are Here)
Stage 3 - Collectively Construct Meetup Templates
Stage 4 - Monthly Meetup Challenges

Participating any of these Stages will Earn you EOSBits and Beyonbits!

What is an EOSbit?

An EOSBIT is a Bandwidth token. A Bandwidth token is a token/ticket backed by a % of bandwidth owned in the EOS network. Since this token will be backed by a specificied amount of bandwidth in the EOS ecosystem (100,000 EOS), it will be possible to gain acceptance of these tokens in place of payment to use Beyond Bitcoin Partner Decentralized Apps (DApps). As bandwidth is a limited resource, these tokens will be worth a specified amount of bandwidth soon after the release of the live EOS Chain Launch.

These tokens are intended to gain value based on a market for bandwidth and partner DApps' accepting them as payment for services/perks. We live in a world where bandwidth on networks is accepted as a ubitquitous resource. EOS is the next stage of Blockchain-basesed IOT infrastructure and will solidify the value proposition of "Bandwidth Tokens" as we begin truly building Voltron partnerships...

Why sell bandwidth directly when you can empower creators to make EOS more valuable?!

What are Beyondbits and Whaleshares

Beyondbits and Whaleshares started as a conversations in the BeyondBitcoin hangout series shortly after Steem was launched historically in those very hangouts. It began as "community tokens" or "tag coins" for those who never knew to listen in who may wish to listen to the origins in our BeyondBitcoin Hangout podcast series. Drop in and listen to them sometime!
These tokens give their hodlers the power to Summon a Whalevote to posts without having to pay for attention. And they are only given to people who Win Contests and do other things of value to the community!
These little hidden gems are held safely just for you. Waiting for the moment when you prove yourself in the arena of contests and hangouts like the whaletank...so if you haven't yet, you should follow @officialfuzzy and watch out for his new contests, or join the Whaleshares Discord where there are a community of Beyondbit Experts!

As a Bonus to all participants, I will be Giving Beyonbit tokens to all participants who give a legitimate effort!

Hi EOS Community,

I'm working on putting together a community designed presentation deck for all of us to use for our meetups. I envision several different presentation decks, but right now I'm focused on putting together a 30 min presentation deck that anyone here can use to share and present to others to provide a good overview on EOS.

If anyone would like to join me, or view the progress of the slide deck, please visit this link:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1numC929H70n5mCZNhpiQ6CNU5DvzVQzIXHmsf7oilN8/edit?usp=sharing

You are free to help edit it with me. I expect to port over several pages over the next few days from my local computer into this shared document format to collaborate with others on getting these materials together.

Thanks for your time and look forward to working with you all in 2018. Best,

WOFcrypto (AZ, USA)

@ofthefuture i will gladly sponsor this. please contact me on discord https://discord.gg/98B8JA

please get me your bts address so i can give you some tokens to help with this.

you can add my Dan Larimer as Bodhisattva art to your materials. It is Creative Commons:

definitely should consider it.

😁 LET'S DO THIS!

I am SO READY for Phase 2... I will put together some goodies to contribute to the meetup teams.

🔄 ReSteemed

A necessary and most welcome info. Upvoted & resteemed. Thanks, @officialfuzzy.

Thank you for this info. This help me i just beginner

Very interesting, I'll definetely give the hangout a listen. I have only joined steemit, and the cryptocurrency community after my exams have started, so i really haven't had a lot of time to study it further.

But after the 15th, when i've handed in, i'll read more up on EOSbits, it seems very cool. Looking forward to burying myself in new info :)

Meanwhile, keep doing this, opensource is definitely the way to go, a 100 heads are better than one :)

Cheers, and merry Christmas

Can't wait to bring my project on the EOS blockchain but there is still a lot of work to do.

Anyone have a slide deck for the EOS community meetups ? I've been working on a draft for my January meeting, but would prefer to build on top of what might be available. Maybe a Google docs initiative to have our team do it would be an option ?

A new infographic to show the difference between Distribution/Business Models in BTC and EOS.
