Ouch! I think they're running a test network with EOS this summer, I guess if we get any information about how that is stacking up against the promises in their whitepaper it will affect the price.

i should have said. my assets are now about $9000 with steem and dash. so i am happy with my lot.

i am not sure what you mean, not familiar enough yet with the lingo.
Ah good! As I understand it, EOS is the software that will run the future blockchain that has not been started yet. The tokens being sold (ICO) seem to convey some rights when that launch happens, but what those rights are is not really defined because to do so (apparently) makes it a financial product which is subject to onerous legislation, and the software company block.one wants to avoid that. The last I read, they were going to start a test blockchain, were third-party developers could check capabilities etc. I think through doing that, we should get some more clarity of what it can do in the real world when it's launched properly. I'm a developer (that's why I know a bit), and hope to investigate if I have time.
