Amazon enters blockchain space! ...build builds on Ethereum?

in #eos7 years ago (edited)

Will Amazon compete with EOS for easy of creating blockchains and offering network resources? Check this out.

Here's "How it Works"

It looks like the "backbone" of the infrastructure will be "Amazon ECS or Amazon EC2 instances". These are already well known and trusted. Could this give serious competition to EOS?

I noticed that they will help clients build "on Ethereum". Well, not if ETH can't scale and reduce its dependency on Proof of Work.

What do you think? Is this HUGE news or just another empty "we're gonna build on Ethereum" promise?

If I'm reading this right then your whole blockchain will be hosted on amazon servers.

You might have some distribution of resources in that other parties will have their own nodes on the amazon system that the blockchain creator doesn't own, but still amazon servers.

If that's true, this will be a framework for internal blockchains like supply chain logistics and internal audit trails. So that's not a direct competitor to EOS that is a platform for wide open dapps. It might poach some institutional users though.

Idk. Amazon is usually pretty good about innovation. They've got years of experience over Google in the home automtion field. Just having their name in the crypto space will help both parties for sure. Interesting how you and Luke were talking about exactly that in the last episode.

Nice find! if they pursue a plasma implementation, building side chains on eth, this could be a serious competition performance wise. but still eos major strength long-term is it's governance system and here eth has rien in the pipeline, so let's see how that works out when buggy code on the aws/eth chain locks up funds of millions ...

I read it will have fees, making eos better . They have the money. But eos isn't just about building dapps, it has eos storage which is also easy free to sue.

Amazon offers AWS facilities for storage, virtual CPUs, etc

Which is actually not free at the moment.

Amazon coming to the crypto space is good news though. There is enough room for everyone

Wow, they got the money to dominate but I'm all about EOS ad steem :)

for sure! Amazon could be a serious player in the hosting and resource space.

I think steem is a better platform to build on than etherum. Proof of brain beats proof of work by far.

Then again, amazon is big enough to create it's own tech. Yet if amazon joins the crypto space, how long before other tech companies begin to nose in and take up the space? Fun times ahead.

again giving a best information in your blog..eos very best platform of blockchain resourcess..thanks to sharing for your good post dear friend @ashe-oro.. very well done..

Is it the amazon we all know on the net?
Well this is great improvement, I don't see them competing with EOS

yep, this is THE Amazon. :)

Que buena noticia! interesante Post. te sigo-

It's pretty much just a cringe moment to me. Ethereum is like BTC. It's old prototype news. Amazon has thin profit margins and the only real advantage they have is money. But the few billions of EOS should be sufficient for that too. There are also other project trying to ake smart contracts accessible for everyone like Metaverse. The only way I see Amazon being a big deal is through hashgraph technology which is the best suited DLT for the company at the moment.

Mike Maloney is a legend in the fight against the fiat system. There is not one video in his series of Hidden Secrets of Money I have not watched but I am starting to think that there is more to the world financial system than pure numbers. Those who control the human mind have the power to shape reality into any form no matter what the numbers might say.

Even Mike says its's all a Smoke and Mirrors game. :)

I actually realized that the entire economy is just a game even before I got into studying it. Economy is a pretty much like any game you play. It's not something real. Things are given values by people and they are exchanged. The point is to make the game deliver greatest consequences. Played in the commie way things start to suck for everybody. When people understand that the values are subjective and money/wealth are simply about production, consumption and saving the difference; economic activities can produce great results. Why? In such a world people are just trying to get the best for them using economic activities as sort of a platform. There won't be any importance given to economy other than treating it like a tool/platform/medium.

In modern days "Economy" is considered a big deal as it is some unfathomable existence like a Lovercraftian monster/god. We could see this in the BTC community. Instead of treating it a tool and becoming the master, some started to worship it as some divine entity created by the patron saint Satoshi Nakamoto. All hope of usable functional currency got lost. What's happening to BTC is pretty much what happened to "Economy".

I always walk around telling people that I want to break this game. You know, like in a video game you always get a glitch in the game or something the coders did not anticipate and once you figure that out you are unstoppable (breaking the game).

I wrote a post on one of these tricks which I figured out while buying a house. I will do the same for buying a car one of these days. I am still young and will definitely learn a lot more going forward.

Probably the best game breaker out there (that I know of) if the Dollar Vigilante and I found his interview on not paying tax most interesting.

We should actually start a website with tips like this for every country and f#%k these banks and big corporations.

I read your post. It was really good. I'm also pretty young and barely starting. You might also like http://nomadcapitalist.com Ieven wrote a post about them here.

There is a saying that Capitalism breaths through loopholes. But all greatness involves some shortcuts/loopholes etc. Human progress and evolution is all about flipping he script and re-creating the world to your own liking. That was the case with fire, housing, farming and even blockchain and hashgraph.

I can see Amazon coming out with their own token and compete against eth and eos

wow !. that post is so inspiring , thank's

it also gives them a controllable arena for their own coin deployment, i can't see them supporting bitcoin directly but maybe some kind of exchange style to their own tokens, if they have their blockchain on their own servers then they can keep some level of control over it, performance wise and other variables i can't think of right now.
