This is the line where everybody, who is not blindly following the hype, stops and asks some questions...
Ethereum is partly valued so highly, because it's decentralised and supposedly "trustless".
Also ask yourself, what is the difference between running on the EOS platform and an Amazon cluster. I'm not sure what the answer is.
