EOS Mainnet Updates
EOSIO 1.4.0 Released. Deterministic Snapshots, Cloud Server Performance, and updates to the EOSIO Contract Development Toolkit. EOS.IO 1.4.1 is then released to fix a critical bug, a bad assert logic when deferred transaction receipts are present (#6036).
A proposal of changing the current value for target_block_cpu_usage_pct from 1000 (10%) to 2000 (20%) is approved. Tests were performed on the CryptoKylin testnet.
According to eosflare.io, till the end of this week, there are already more than 410,000 EOS accounts on the Mainnet.

Security Issues
EOSBet is hacked again, the third time. 140,000 EOS was stolen and transferred to Bitfinex and Poloniex.
WorldConquest is hacked. The hacker only left the project team 0.0155 EOS in their contract account balance.
EOS Cafe Block released a contract vulnerability warning in Medium. As they claimed in the article, "all parameters from notifications need to be explicitly checked, contract name and action name alone are not sufficient."
Slowmist security team releases an article to explain the "false notification" vulnerability.
