in #eos7 years ago

Ethereum and EOS are both platforms for smart contracts and decentralized applications and today we discuss how it is programming on these platforms. In this video we focus especially on the programming language.

@ivanli thanks for the explanation. This will help lots of people understand the differences between EOS and Ethereum.

Regards, @gold84

Great video! I think it will really make a lot of sense to people. In the end when EOS is doing 100,000 transactions / second and Ethereum is still trying to scale past 15 transactions / second programs will be gravitating to EOS because that will be in demand for real world applications.

Congratulations, your post received one of the top 10 most powerful upvotes in the last 12 hours. You received an upvote from @thejohalfiles valued at 291.63 SBD, based on the pending payout at the time the data was extracted.

What are your thoughts on ICON? It had a little correction, is it worthwhile to get in even tho it’s 10x from ICO?

yeah, I lam ooking into it too . @datadash mentioned it in one of his videos. I would love to hodl this baby but its a little too overbought.

Thank you, always great content!

Thank you for the explanations. Do you believe it will be possible to write smart contracts based on Steem in the future as well?

your preview is sooo cute!

Great explanation. Excited to see how the the EOS and ETH projects progress.

@ivanli Great video as always!
I need to take some time to play with the EOS testnet!

Great little talk through about the potential pros and cons between the two programming languages.

I feel like what you had to say was well thought out and avoided bias as best as possible

Thanks for the objectivity @ivanli!

Thank you for all your awesome videos man! U the man :)

have you any information regarding b2x segwit

Eos has great potential, it will be nice to see when they finally have a working product and our tokens are actually converted into something that has some instrinic value

nice and informative

Hey Ivan, i found this one so funny i had to share it with you!

This is really good example of power of speculation. EOS is much better thab ETH but it is worth around 1% of ETH becouse nobody care how good that project is, everyone only see how much they can earn money if they use BTC or ETH for ICO. We may miss many valuble projects if this market will stay in wrong hands (founds, big investors and speculators).
At the end of story of crypto world (when old projects will have troubles) we will hear that this is bubble and everything what is conmected to crypto world is scam, what isnt true, but this is only a beginig of new world, where power will be transfered from governant to people

It is really so much informative.and I really learned some things New, From your post.. I have keen interest in program. So this post is really so important for me. Thanks
.

Thank you for the informative video. I did not realize that EOS Smart Contracts were written in C++. What Ethereum got going for itself right now is the Network Effect. It's just super easy for Javascript Developers to get onboarded onto Solidity Development. I'm imagining that it's going to be the same for Viper, being that it's so similar to Python.

Hey bro thank for this I just invested $2000 on EOS :) waiting for liquidity spike :D

Much needed video! There have been so many comparisons between Eth and Eos, but very little information explaining the differences! thank you!

very nice

I'd focus more on Ethereum, no doubt next year will give us a lot more to talk about...

Hmmm...eos seems promising. I desperately need some good info on the right ICO and coin to invest in aside bitcoin and other top already made coin

Thank youuuuu... i just find what i want :D

any thoughts on the McAfee train?

all opinions are welcomed.

I personally feel that most are simply just jumping in without doing any research and they don't know how to hodl.

very nice post

awesome knowledge

EOS are better for me

excelente su post amigo le felicito, le dejo un obsequio de este humilde servidor

very good post .. I follow you and i upvote you for more :)

Good points and liked your practical approach to explain. While technology changes rapidly, it is good to know the latest trends in it (at least at the moment).
Learned from this presentation the base languages for the two platforms and I must say that preferring C++ I will take a deeper look on EOS. Also it is a language for life so I will amuse a better growth when it is released. Also I foresee more value in low level integration of hardware and software, which is globally more approachable and tangible to all end users, regardless of age.

great post ... thnx again

Can you please vote my comment on this contest? Pleaseee? I will win steem !! Thanks.

I think sylidesuim(not sure of how it's spelt) is the programming language of the future, even with the little resources available to programmers, how ever EOS gat me thinking!

good men

Great info, I'll love to hear what do you think about net neutrality and how it will affect platforms like steemit or youtube, amazing channel, Thanks!

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the info, @ivanli. Opened my eyes to the app development challenges.

your post is very good, very useful, your post is so inspiration for me and all users of steemit, I am proud of you .I am amazed to you, you are very fantastic in making a post, hopefully triumph in the work .. Thank you

Nice work man :D

Is EOS even out yet?

C++? Wow! Now I'm forced to go deeper into this.

PS: just found this https://steemit.com/eos/@dan/eos-example-exchange-contract-and-benefits-of-c

Thanks for so interesting and great explanation greetings

Thank you very much excellent preview very good explanation

So from an investment view, would you say eos will have better success short term because the language used is easier to master even though it is complicated, and because there are more people that have that mastery all ready. But eth could do very well long term as mastery of the language becomes easier?
