so you leave them there.
then there is a period of time to wait until they can be moved.
either to an exchange, where they can be traded or exchanged.
or to cold storage, a paper wallet. ( i have yet to find out where the paper wallet machine can be downloaded)
or you can leave them in MEW indefinitely for holding. MEW is really secure.
