Good news, Dan Larimer thinks sudo is acceptible for snapshot users to recover access to their account.

News for EOS snapshot users who lost their private key and are desperately waiting for the release and implementation of sudo to make it possible for them to regain control of their "Zombie" accounts.
Dan Larimer stated that:

"I think sudo is acceptable for migration of snapshot users"

"It should be deployed to enable rapid fixes"

"But should be used only in most objective and careful ways"

"It doesn't enable anything that cannot be done by other means"

It's called sudo, not sodu. The name comes from the Linux command sudo(1) which means superuser-do.

That name is a derivative of an earlier Unix command su(1) which was technically set-user, but was more colloquially thought of as super-user (my manual on Mac says it is substitute-user but I'm not trusting that...).

Thank you I appreciate it.
