I like to track EOS development and was really exited to see number of github commits steadily grow this summer.
Contributions peaked in September, but recently have been showing a sign of slowing down..
There have been no commits to master for at least a week.
I wonder why..
This past week the team has been in meeting and planning sessions. We also had much of the team traveling to our new office. Things are picking up, just not on GitHub
Amazing! Thanks Dan! Is great to know! Keep up with the good work!
Thanks for the update, Dan.
Thank you ! We know you have a lot to do. So we are thankful that you take time answer
Dan, I'm a big believer and have invested significantly in this project since launch. exciting to see it develop but i have a suggestion... try to get more of these video links to your website. the platform rocks but your marketing team really need to get ahead of the FUD on EOS. A lot of BS out there that needs addressing.
You have excellent rebuttal especially in the case of ETH maximalists. now share your words with the world . get your marketing team on point. talk to the Vloggers who are driving the information dissemination on youtube and steem and get the good word out and crush the FUD. you will reach 10's if not 100's of thousands rather than a few hundred each time. conferences are great for the big fish and the 1% but not everyone can fly around attending them.
marketing, marketing, marketing broski! im in hong kong and i am in the marketing business. happy to meet your team to help out and make suggestions.
Hey @dan - I'm excited for you and for where EOS is maybe going to be going. :)
Back to Steemit - I can see that several of your witness votes are for inactive servers now, including @au1nethyb1, @roadscape and @steempty. I have launched a witness campaign for Steemit and have a pretty high capacity server, plus a lot of professional experience with software/hardware - I'd really appreciate if you would consider switching that spot for me to give me a chance to serve the community as best I can.
My witness application is here. Cheers!
Like all teams, EOS is working on things that are not on their github yet, they could be focusing on these things for release. For example. Daniel Larimer announced at London something about having sub second latency by somehow "getting past the speed of light". He mentioned they would release a whitepaper on this soon, code and copy regarding this are likely some of these "non-github" items so far.
Hi cryptokens, I'm looking forward to reading that whitepaper when it gets released.
Interesting. That is a good question

less new commits could also equal the team reaching milestones or getting closer to internal testing, debugging, alpha etc. If you develop something eventually you've got your code base and you'll be committing less code, less changes. Also, you might hit a dead point, you're burned out, you take a break or you're just sitting there debugging code, coding something new etc. I guess we'll see.
