Epson announces the EF-100W / B laser projector: compact but bright

in #epson5 years ago

Epson announced its smallest laser video projector: the new EF-100W / B, designed in multiple configurations to be easily transportable and usable.

Epson EF-100W / B, the compact yet versatile video projector The Epson EF-100W / B is designed to be used and moved in different contexts: this is the main reason why it has been equipped with a power socket and side cooling slits so that it can also be positioned vertically to project images on the most varied surfaces (including ceilings). An automatic image correction feature that operates on trapezoidal distortion also supports this. Its compact sizes (21x 22.7x 8.8 cm for 2.7 kg) make it simple in many circumstances to move and use.

The 3LCD technology, initiated by Epson in the early 1980s, utilizes the white light division into the three primary colours (blue, green, red) to compose the picture using three distinct LCD panels. The Epson EF-100W / B utilizes a laser as a light source and thus achieves 2000 lumens of brightness with a dynamic contrast of 2,500,000:1. These brightness concentrations make it possible to use the projector even in daylight, without the need to obscure the environment. The resolution, however, is restricted to HD.

There are HDMI input, headphone output and Bluetooth connection, as well as 5 W speakers with various methods to get the finest sound at all times.

The maintenance element of the Epson EF-100W / B is especially interesting: thanks to the use of laser technology, maintenance is only required after 20,000 hours of use, which is equal to about five hours of use per day for nearly eleven years.

Carla Conca, Business Manager of Epson Italia's Visual Instruments Division and Office Products, said, "This video projector stands out among all the others in our range. Besides being elegant, it provides people excellent features thanks to its compact size and long-lasting laser light source and high quality.
