There are - and have been - many great teachers on this planet. Though, not all have been created - and/or have become - equal.
Some time ago on Steemit, a commenter turned my attention towards one, who I’m now confident to declare is one of the best:
Manly P. Hall
Hall was a 33rd degree Freemason.
Now, those who’ve fallen into the conspiracy theory camp may have raised eyebrows right about now, given the numerous references to the 33rd degree and Illuminati in many conspiracies. And that is perfect. Because here, now, is a moment in which transformation of consciousness may occur.
The degrees were never merely about some ranking of status in an organization. That may have been one aspect of them. However, an aspect more reflective of the degrees of knowledge one had attained. And/or, the degrees of light.
All secret society references aside, one way of looking at what that 33rd degree represents is the level of enlightenment. The degree of understanding, awareness, and consciousness - of life, of the Laws of the universe, of the dynamics of these systems we are operating in and call “reality.”
Just as one earns “degrees” through attending college, the degrees of Freemasonry represented stages of development. Not only of a man’s learning, but also of his character - which is developed through a process of being transformed through his learning, a process in which his acquired knowledge is transmuted into wisdom as he integrates it into his being, becoming a walking embodiment of those ascending degrees of wisdom / light.
Hall was a man who served as an utmost excellent example of this.
It was said that over the course of his life, Manly P. Hall gave over 8000 lectures, as well as having written many books and papers.
Upon diving into Hall’s work, it is self-evident: the “33rd degree” title is one he rightfully earned.
The insight he not only had, but was able to communicate, is not just your average ordinary information. It was/is of a different nature.
One that is in-and-of-itself transformative.
The scope, breadth, and depth of subjects he speaks upon is vast. The potency of his words, extraordinary.
His ascension through the degrees was not one that merely equipped him with memorized facts, but rather activated awareness - along with abilities and capabilities to transmit the frequencies of the 33rd degree.
To summarize any further, would be rather difficult. And perhaps counterproductive.
Because just as certain experiences - for example, love, the taste of fresh summer fruits, the emotions evokes through a beautiful sunset or symphony - cannot be explained in words, sitting through the teachings of such a master is an experience of its own one must go through themselves to grasp.

Thus, this is but a brief introduction.

I am currently understanding this subject, and going through different views of it, and not just allowing my perception to play an part. And yes, no matter what we need awareness in life in all aspects and not in just consciousness, and by that i mean, most of the people talk about the consciousness but in my opinion the most important subject is the Subconscious Mind, and this part of mind can make our life or break our life.
And whenever we want to achieve the Enlightenment then we have to understand about our Subconscious mind otherwise it's not possible because whatever patterns we hold, that stored in the Subconscious part and that's why some movements we do without our knowing and that is because all patterns are subconsciously working and your Subconscious Brain works 24/7.
We think so small and we limit ourselves into the small Sphere from where we fail to attain the next level of awareness and that is because, whatever we are thinking, we are thinking in the aspect of materialistic thinking. For example, if we are posting one Steemit post in particular category, and we are getting 100$ upvote everyday, then some will continue without any change, and no matter if they have better thoughts of expanding their work more but still they think about that $100 and fear about the losing. Same way in case of Awareness we fear to expand our reality because it can impact our current reality and our comfort zone can be broken.
So, we have to come out of this judgemental attitude, and we have to judge for sure after understanding the whole concept, so we have to become more explorative and we have to explore ourselves because we are whole Universe, it's just matter of knowing and matter of awareness.

I got invited to apply for a faculty position at the Philosophical Research Society (Hall's organization) a few years back. It sounds like fun to play the role of a 21st century Hypatia ... I still have not ruled out the possibility. I would lecture/teach classes on kabbalah, pythagorean philosophy, natural philosophy, hermeticism, and ancient texts.
Now that would be a pretty cool position!

Incorrect, flawed logic.
On the contrary, it might more accurately be said that while you do have a life, it has to-date been your choice to remain stagnant at zero degrees which has produced the experience of “not having one.”
A choice that you retain the right 100% to make or change at any point.
Would anyone argue that you “don’t have a life,” that would be their judgmental error in attempting to override your right to choose what you make of your own.
So if you come to that final conclusion on your own, it is entirely your right to create that experience for yourself. Should you have adopted that belief from someone who attempted to convince you of it, however, you probably would’ve been better to simply tell them to fuck off and live their own while you exercised your choice to remain at zero degrees.
Though then again, you have entirely 100% right to choose living anyone else’s definition for yourself, as well.
In any case, if you choose to define yourself as a “0 degree prick,” it’s only because that’s what you’ve been continuing to choose - instead of choosing to climb one degree at a time.
Thus, you either got mindfucked into a belief system that’s created a rather pessimistic, self-defeating self-image. Or, you continue to choose to recreate it yourself.
Might seem a sad choice; but yours to make in any moment, nonetheless.
