Esperanto is not only a language, it also is an idea of a better world, where apart from a common language spoken beside to your mother tongue, a common currency worldwide could serve all. Already in the beginning of the 20th century, two years after the First World War at the Esperanto Congress in France in 1905 the mathematician Dr René de Saussure proposed a common currency. It was called Spesemilo and made for international money transfer for Esperantists and issued as vouchers by few British and Swiss banks: https://steemit.com/esperanto/@johano/esperanto-money
Now a new coin is issued to commemorate the Swiss linguist and mathematician Dr René de Saussure (1868 - 1943).

You are a kind man. I am not sure if you can buy with steloj nowadays. Maybe one day some computer freaks come up with a crypto-stelo made on the top of steem tokens.
