Introduction
In this series of posts, We will present current feature set that eSteem is offering. And details and usage of presented features. Each post will include gif animation and its explanation to guide reader through the process of using it. Note that these features are being improved constantly, you might notice some changes/addition in future releases.
What's eSteem
For those who find eSteem related post first time and don't know what eSteem is: It is mobile and desktop application for Steem! eSteem is offering some of the unique features (Bookmarking, Post Drafts, Image upload/capture, Personal Gallery, Notifications, many more) for mobile users! Evolution of eSteem desktop app is under development.
eSteem supports multi-currency where you can see post rewards in any currency you like (BTC, USD, EUR, RUB, GBP, JPY, KRW, INR, CNY etc.), multi-language (44+) where you can use app in any language you are familiar with, multi-account where you can add more than one account and easily change between accounts, multi-chain where you can use both Steem and Golos chains, multi-notifications where you can get notification for your multiple accounts for following activities Vote, Follow, Unfollow, Mention, Comment, Reblog, Transfers, Scheduled post publish, etc!

Details
Animation #1 - In this animation you can see how to control your voting weight/percent with 2 different ways. One by tap and hold, other one is by changing it from Settings menu. Changing voting weight doesn't have any limitation in app, but note that you might receive messages from blockchain if your voting power is low or percentage has not correct values.
Animation #2 - Having PIN code gives your app and funds extra security. If you lost your phone or someone else has physical access to your device, you can easily have extra secure layer which will ask PIN code everytime app is active. Animation shows example how to set and use it in action. After 4 attempts of incorrect pincode your account will be logged out.

Its the only app for steemit. It's very handy and easy to use. Today downloaded it and its awesome. :)
The app has so many features that we cannot get on steemit site. Like it give very much accurate values (upto 10 decimal) of all numerical data and that's cool. It also shows the voting power and provides notifications on out about updates in steemit and that's very much helpful.
It provides voting slider also for new users, that's a great feature.
The app is being updated frequently and regularly with new features added, that's amazing!

@good-karma welldone. A lot of people do not know this especially minnows whose SP is below 500 in steemit who are not privileged to have voting slide.
eSteem is the only way out for now for all the minnows out there crying over inability to adjust their voting strength like others thus are almost always forced to vote at 100% or abstain from voting.
This is the main cause of the decline in voting observed in the whole community because people in this class are more in number.
If only they can read this post and gravitate towards eSteem to correct this anomaly; that will restore upvoting activity back to steemit.
@good-karma, I want to use this opportunity to implore you to hasten the windows version as alot of people feel more comfortable to post from computer than phone.

Ohh, waiting for this! I currently only use Steem on desktop so I'll certainly try it out if you bring a browser version online. Also, is that a drafts feature for posts I see in the gif up there? If so it'll be awesome if I can save post drafts for later! You can save one post now, but sometimes I like to log ideas, and that would be super helpful. ^_^

I think Nanohash is a scam because there is no real support on their site, they say the telephone number is coming soon, the registrated adress is a small landside in the UK, the server is in russia, there are numerous articles that users had a bad experience, they tell you min payout is 1$ and then they tell you its 20$ and you should mine more...
You just want people to use your affiliate link thats all!

I do believe eSteem has great features, but it's still very buggy on my Galaxy S7. Every time I click on a notification on eSteem and then try to navigate in the app, it simply doesn't respond. There is still a lot of bugfixing to be made. At least for the Galaxy S7.

I just started on Steemit and I was wondering if we had something like this:)....We need some way to access the content on an app...Compete head to head with Instagram.

Thanks for the post, been using app now for about a week now on ios, it's really great much better than steemit from browser. I have had a few regular freezes and slight glitches here and there.
iOS v1.4.6 is coming soon which should improve performance and solves few bugs. We are testing it right now before release... Android 1.4.6 is already out and available, work on 1.4.7 has started :)

Sometimes I noticed the freeze on my android 7.0 too. I usually close and restart again. I hope you equally consider improving on that in the next release.

Me too! That will help me a lot to post more and to post better. I was using my phone and/or iPad exclusively but boy does that slow me down. Now I am logged into my Windows Desktop with two monitors and a nice mechanical keyboard and it is like night and day. I can't wait to post what I am working on. In the time it took me to write one decent post I already have about ten waiting to be released at the right time and invervals. Release the Kraken!! 🤓

@good-karma I'm using esteem app for Android and ehen I'm reading a post i can't navigate back to home in the new version. Could it be a bug? But overall i like the app
Any chance to improve the speed of the app on IOS version?
I find mine is very slow (ipod) although all my other apps run at a good speed. Otherwise, love the updates and the app.
iOS release of 1.4.6 is coming tomorrow. Announcement post will follow soon, once it becomes available, would you mind trying it out to see where else performance can be improved...?! In this upcoming version 1.4.6 we have fixed number of issues that were slowing down app, you should feel some improvements, but any feedback is appreciated... Thanks!
Yeah - that's great to hear. I use the app all the time when not next to my computer - It's just the speed that was causing me to not use it as much. I'll let ya know :)

In App eSteem I can log in, but I can not open it on the website www.steemit.com because the password is incorect.

Trending is Useful
The trending page is now more useful than ever. Now that payouts are daily, the trending page shows the highest valued posts. It will probably be made the default page soon.
Payout Time Sort Order
We added a new payout time sort order that allows you to see which posts are about to be paid out. This should give everyone one last chance to up/down vote a post before payouts become irreversible.
New Downvote Button
Downvote button has been replaced with a flag in the top right corner of each post. This makes it clear that downvotes should be used to flag content for abuse more than to just push someone else down.
Payout Status
You can now inspect a posts payout status by clicking on the pending payout amount. It will tell you when a post is scheduled to payout and how much it has been paid in the past.
