Frangipani flowers were discovered by a French botanist named Charles Plumier, which is why frangipani flowers have the Latin name Plumeria. It is estimated that native Indonesian frangipani is a white frangipani flower with a yellow inside where the florets are not fully open and are small in size. Frangipani flowers thrive in the lowlands to a height of 700 meters, but in general these plants can thrive in all places.
