Until today, Aceh is still free of the corona virus. According to reports from local online media, so far no patients have been infected with the corona virus. But even though there have not been found patients infected with the corona virus, that does not mean Aceh is not vigilant. The Aceh government has set two hospitals as a reference if found patients with suspect corona virus. The two hospitals are the Aceh government-owned hospital, the Zainoel Abidin hospital and the North Aceh Regency government-owned hospital, the Cut Meutia hospital.
So far there are 25 people in monitoring and 18 patients under surveillance. While those who have been discharged there are 13 patients with negative results infected with the corona virus. In Banda Aceh, the capital of the Aceh government, according to a report from the Aceh health office, there were 18 patients under surveillance (5 patients were still hospitalized, 13 patients were discharged) and 2 people were monitored. Of the 15 blood samples that have been sent to a medical laboratory in Jakarta, 8 samples are still in the process of examination and 7 samples were negative infected with the corona virus.
In Bireuen, there were 5 people under surveillance related to the corona virus. While in Sabang, which is one of the largest islands in Aceh and at the westernmost tip of Indonesia, there are currently 4 people in under surveillance related to the corona virus. In Aceh Tamiang there were also 4 people who were under surveillance related to the corona virus. While in Pidie there were 3 people in under surveillance and in Central Aceh there were 2 people in under surveillance related to the corona virus. Whereas in Subussalam, South Aceh, West Aceh, North Aceh and Langsa, there is one person each under surveillance related to the virus.
At present all hospitals in Aceh have banned residents from visiting hospitalized patients. And every patient hospitalized is only allowed to be accompanied by one patient's family. The Aceh government also appealed to its citizens not to activities outside the home. In addition the Aceh government has also closed schools and closed tourist attractions. All that was done to minimize the spread of the corona virus.
