3 Ways To Distract Yourself From Pain!

Life is short, strange and sometimes it seems full of happiness but it takes no more than a second that we start feeling distressed. Yes, that's life. Just like you know about my situation of past week, I had a lot of excitements for this week but it took no more than a second that everything is now looking less-important to me. I know that is temporary though, it's all about time which passes anyway.

But the question is, what should be done in such difficult times? how should we deal with stress? how should we distract ourselves from depression? Your stress won't go away magically if you just sit and don't do anything with it. You'll have to work on methods to distract yourself from stress, depression and all other tensions.

I needed the answer of same question this week and I practiced some methods with great results. Though the pain of losing my grandpa still exists but it is reduced to the great extent that I am able to write these posts, share my thoughts with you and resume the work on my projects once again.

So, I'm sure that some of you might also be going through difficult and stressful times and since sharing is caring, it is my way to express that I care about you. That's why, I want to share those 3 powerful methods that you should use in order to distract yourself from pain, sorrow and grief. Let's discuss those methods together!

1 - Spend your time with your close friends!

This is one of the best way to get rid of stress and pain since you can talk about various topics with your friends. Yes, a friend in need is the friend indeed! You should meet with your close friends, talk about the topics on which you used to talk in normal days. I know it will be hard for you but if your friend is close enough, he'd try to drag you into such discussions anyway.

Your work is to try answering him, give your comments and make your friend feel that you really love him. Motivate him with your behavior, if your friend is close enough, he won't expect much from you. You know, I did the same thing. 10th January was a very painful day for me but as soon as I returned from the funeral of my grandpa, and buried my grandpa in the grave and attended all the relatives, I opened my Whatsapp, and Steemit Chat and started the discussion with them. The next day I met with outdoor close friends, they gave me courage which really made me realize that a friend in need is the friend indeed!

2 - Play your favorite game!

Nothing could fresh your mood except playing your most favorite game. It's hard to set your mind for such things on a painful day but it is really necessary. Even if you've lost your family member, the best thing is to complete all your duties and at the end of the day (before going to sleep probably), play your most favorite game.

But you might be thinking, how the hell it is possible to play games when you've lost your beloved family member? Yes, I had the exact same question/feeling and I realized that it is not right to play games. Therefore, I kept it for the next day, and just as planned, I played the game for around 20+ minutes and honestly speaking, I started to feel better (or in other words, my attention was distracted towards the enemies in Counter Strike)

3 - Think on the positive aspect!

When you focus on the negative aspect of the situation like it could be better if this thing wouldn't had happen or he could live more if this medicine was given to him etc, then it will make you feel much worse and you won't be able to relax. Even for those most painful situations, always think on their positive aspects and give less importance to negative aspects. That's really necessary.

If you've lost your loved one, you can think "he would probably be in Paradise and must be enjoying his life there" OR "we all have to die one day, it's just that his time is arrived". That way, your pain won't go out of control and you'll deal with the reality (instead of imaginations). Even if Cancer is diagnosed by the doctor for you, the best thinking is that "It's better to know that my life is going to end soon, let's do some great deeds and seek the pleasure of God".

That's how we should deal with pain and stress. That's how we distract our attention from negative aspect to the positive aspect. The first one is the best method to reduce your pain and distract yourself from stress and also the second method. The third method is a little bit tricky but if you become successful in using that properly, you'd realize that your pain is reduced to the great extent.
