More often than not, I have seen people giving reasons why they backtracked from pursuing some certain courses; that they had tried and tried to no avail. And so they assume that's it! They have had enough!
How wrong you are! That you made an attempt at something without success doesn't mean other future attempts at the same thing would not be successful. Success in life is all about trial and error. When you make an attempt at something and hit a wall, instead of giving up, make another attempt for life is all about trial and error.
You try and try and try and try and continue to try until you get what you seek! You apply this strategy and fails. Withdraw, re-assess the situation, refine your strategies and launch out again. When you are not able to achieve that which you seek, that's no failure because you just discovered one of the ways it cannot be done, giving you the opportunity to eliminate that option.
This would afford you the opportunity to give attention to the remain options which may lead to success.
As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."

@eurogee, you know one thing I like about life? There are a thousand and one chances for you try again and again. One's chances in life are inexhaustible but it's so pathetic that people throw away these chances to give another shot at life because they had an attempt before that didn't work out. People need to be resolute, dogged and bent on succeeding or else a whole lot of future and promising opportunities will elude them.
Thank you for this piece to inspire us to keep moving on no matter what we face.
Thanks my friend you rock!
Thank you sir.
Thats so true... I also want to add that; if we see that wall as an obstacle, it will be an obstacle. At the same time, if we see the wall as a stepping stone, thats what it will be to us. It all depends on one's mindset.
There is this quote i love so much. its says "the hand that make mistakes belong to those that work"
Thanks for this great addition.
"NEVER GIVE UP".hi @eurogee, I firmly affirm your contention and I believed through my personal experiences that when we give up for one attempt its like not taking at all. If plan A is not successful why not try the plan B and so on.. There are so many successful person that we use as inspiration like Thomas Edison but they never give up instead they used it as a stepping stone to reach their goal/s. Lastly, I love your post, it reminds me of
Thanks very much my friend. That's the message!
