We are pleased to announce iOS release of eSteem mobile. This release has some major changes as well as number of bug fixes, performance improvements. If you have reported any issue, please review them and let us know if you still have them.
Thanks to @antidorsessions for helping out with Android 7.0 testing, in our last release we have found that Android 4.4.2 users were also effected by unsupported type error caused by Android OS using outdated library. We have just now pushed minor update to Android users as well that fixes the bug and have some improvements.

What's eSteem
For those who find eSteem related post first time and don't know what eSteem is: It is mobile and desktop application for Steem! eSteem is offering some of the unique features (Bookmarking, Post Drafts, Image upload/capture, Personal Gallery, Notifications, many more) for mobile users! Evolution of eSteem desktop app is under development.
eSteem supports multi-currency where you can see post rewards in any currency you like (BTC, USD, EUR, RUB, GBP, JPY, KRW, INR, CNY etc.), multi-language (35+) where you can use app in any language you are familiar with, multi-account where you can add more than one account and easily change between accounts, multi-chain where you can use both Steem and Golos chains, multi-notifications where you can get notification for your multiple accounts for following activities Vote, Follow, Unfollow, Mention, Comment, Reblog, Scheduled post publish, etc!

What's new
- Schedule posts - you can now schedule posts through eSteem. This feature requires permission of posting on your behalf by adding esteemapp account into your posting authority. To allow permission you should be logged in with your main password or have posting and active private key during advanced login. This feature is only available for Steem users (not Golos). You can move scheduled post it to draft then reedit or reschedule or remove scheduled posts from Schedules page from left side menu.
- Push Notification when scheduled post has been published.
- Android permission fix - when you download images from posts some Android devices didn't get proper permission, that issue is now fixed.
- Mute and Unmute feature - initial features implemented, expect more improvements with future releases.
- Bandwidth saver - you can find this feature on Settings page, which gives you control over your internet usage. You can choose to download images or disable them by default. This way you can tap on image placer to download individual images if you want.
- Nsfw filter improved - dark overlay replaced with image now all images are replaced with placeholder when you disable nsfw content. Expect more improvements to handle nsfw text filter in future releases.
- Beneficiary reward changed from 1 to 5% after initial 30 days period.
- Finnish language added
- Thai language added
- Urdu Pakistani language added
- Bosnian language added
- Korean language added
- Hindi language added
- Header buttons spacing adjusted
- Fixed night mode coloring on some pages
- Fixed youtube embedding and sizing issues
- Error message handled better
- Comment fetching fixed
- Voting, unvoting fixed
- Facebook and other image link markdown fixed
- Various bugs and performance improvements

When I try to submit a story with Esteem the "post" button is dim and not clickable or touchable. I can't post.
Maybe check if you have, not more than 5 tags ?
well. I had 5 tags, but between 2 of the tags I had a double space... changed to single space and I have the post button. Thanks. :)

I was just thinking about this!, but i am a little afraid of carrying my steemit account in my cell phone (that can get stolen in any moment)
You are right to be concerned! So that's why eSteem designed such a way so that your keys never leaves your device. And you can enabled extra security level by using PIN code you can find from Settings page of the app. Also you can only use your posting private key that is only responsible for posting and voting, no money can be transferred out without active key.

@good-karma ,Esteem yes and no doubt. But for us in Aceh which is average using Sim Card internet network, very slowly, maybe this little complaint from me. And wasteful internet quota

bandwidth saverfeature, which doesn't download many images. Go to Settings and disableFetch imagesthat will limit image downloads and save your internet quota...Okay thanks friends @good-karma and i will follow i will follow my advice
Nice Info @good-karma, i would like to inform that steemian who use android version 4.4.2 get some troubles (Unable uploading, post comment and claim reward). I hope you could tell us how to solve it).

Try restarting app to see if it solves the issue. For some users it did solve it.

Have you added refresh button? Was not able to find it in previous version. (Refreshing new, followed tab etc)

pull down to refreshand every time you change feed/filter posts are refreshed. Followers and Followings page also does refresh with new data every time you visit...Would be nice to have pull to refresh capability in every place where one would like to update content. So we would not have to switch between new/feed etc.
Yes, as I mentioned... New/Feed page (or front page) has it already. As for all other pages, pull down to refresh is not proper because those pages are for reading, transferring funds, uploading profile picture or cover picture, etc. Will consider this on blog page though, it could be very useful there as well... ;)
Can't see that function working on my galaxy 7 edge. Nothing happens, I suppose there should be at least an animation (like fb pull to refresh has)
Oh you are right, I just checked. It looks like we have disabled it in this version. Will re-enable with new release, there is also plans to improve caching of posts which should improve performance greatly...

There is no problem with my network connection, because i can do everything on my Iphone.
And its a Iphone 5s.
Did i do something wrong or something?
And it doesen't matter wich post i want to upvote, same error.
Could you try restarting app to see issue gets resolved? For some devices it seem to help

When i go the app store, then i only have one option for esteem.
Before i saw your topic, then i had the app for a week, and had the error problem.
After i saw your topic, i removed that app, and downloaded the latest version.
If am correct.
And after your reqeust to remove it, then i did and downloaded again.
Then i got the error message, what i posted in the last picture.
I got an Iphone 5s version 10.3.2,
The esteem version i got is v 1.4.5

I mean those numbers between my post numbers, and my followers number.
Those numbers can motivate you, to even be more creative.

And sometimes i have to post post because it can not loading .oke thanks for your explanation that try the power saving feature .I know Esteem from @curiesea. Because I use Redmi4A smartphone.

What do you mean, it should work for Samsung Galaxy devices? Do you get any error messages?
Writing my comment on Android pixel. I reinstalled and restarted my phone. It works better after a restart. Issues I had before like unable to make comments are gone. You should advise others to do the same if they have issues on your post. Thanks for all that you do!
I love the Esteem app. I would like to recommend a few things though. When your looking at your personal page i would like to be able to post something new from there. I'm using the android app to. I had to look around and it took me a little bit to figure it out the first time. And another thing, Some of the options like friends breakdown list would be handy to. And finding out who looked at each post. Maybe i just don't know how to use it totally but i like some of the options of the computer platform because it'll be accessible to more and more people when it's on a phone app. I understand it's a new thing and i uploaded it when you first published it. Thanks for sharing and asking us for feedback.
