Even though we mentioned in few posts about this, wanted to make an official post about removal of Golos support in eSteem.
@dunskyThose of you who doesn't know what Golos is, it is fork of Steem blockchain with its own community and goals, targeting Russian speaking people.
For almost a year eSteem supported both Golos and Steem communities! With recent changes, 2 platforms deciding to move different directions made it difficult to follow changes in both projects. And eSteem had to choose priority platform to move forward and focus development.
Supporting both platforms, soon to be with totally different architecture, is bottleneck for advancement of eSteem project. For that reason, Golos support will be removed from eSteem effective v1.5.1 release.
It will open many opportunities for eSteem as well as help us to improve performance of the application. We believe upcoming communities feature in Steem will open doors to many people with different cultures and background...Thus eSteem can continue to support and help Russian speaking people across the globe.
We want to thank Golos community for their support and wish them success!

Yeah... Golos is much different now. But maybe it's good to be something different, not just a small clone of a large project.

While I don't have an opinion on Golos (never used them, they could be moving well in the future, who knows until the future gets here)
I praise good-karma for doing what is right for him as a focused developer.
No, don't bottleneck yourself. eSteem continuing to be a solid app is very important for the steem blockchain.
I'm glad you decided to focus on that instead.

That's what happen when you try to copy steemit :p hell yeahh :D as the matter of fact i paid a visit to Golos shit but it really sucks they tried a lot to make a good copy of steemit but copy is copy :p @good-karma "karma does exist"
You don't know what you're talking about.
That kills me. Karma exist alright.... Developing over a HF is nothing but buggy if you cannot focus on one fork or the other. Golos has added many great features but Steemit Inc focus is STEEM. @Good-karma is a STEEM witness. I think the decision to drop Golos support was a wise one and allows eSteem devs to properly focus in one direction.
No need to slam Golos, it is just a different product at this point.

I have posted Golos.io several times via eSteem application that you build, but Both is not active there.
Totally different architecture causes chaos. like a monkey catching a grasshopper, captured by a grasshopper, inserted into the right armpit. then the monkey catch one more grasshopper and put it into the left armpit. grasshopper in the right armpit was flying. hahahha ....

How sad is that. I used to use eSteem with my Golos account. It was really suitable. That was a huge advantage that I could use one applications for two platforms. Glad, that performance of the application will be improved, because they really have troubles with the speed of the application.
@good-karma, I hope you remember me, I am an ardent fan of yours, and will always continue to respect every decision you make, i was deeply troubled when I heard that golos.io is targeted at Russian speaking people, for me. That's isolation from the rest of the world at large,this is why America will always be a father to all nations.imagine if it was only golos or whatever the name is , poor folks like us won't stand a chance.I sincerely respect your decision and as this will enable you concentrate on a more viable platform for which steemit is number one.peace on Earth.

Why Golos is in another language?
Beacuse it's Russian fork. Lots of Russians don't understand English.
