Beautiful Sunday: paying respect to the God of Wealth in a mall,ไปคารวะเทพเจ้าแห่งโชคลาภที่ห้างสรรพสินค้า

This is my entry for #beautifulsunday hosted by @ace108. The news about the Wuhan virus in China has cautioned me not to go to crowded Chinese shrines during the Chinese New Year over the weekend.

I did see in the news that there were big crowds at all famous shrines and China Town was having street food festival in the evening! I decided to go shopping early afternoon to avoid the crowd in the evening. I was so glad that this year my favourite mall has arranged a very nice display for celebrating the Chinese New Year.

This is the Year of the Metal Rat so I expect that gold and silver prices will do very well this year! There were many families taking photos with all the red and golden decorations; children just seemed to enjoy themselves a lot. These small kids treated this place like their adventure play ground! It was so nice to see family togetherness and cheerful people sharing a good time. I had lost almost all of my family’s members so this occasion just reminded me of my isolation from some of my distant relatives. Having moved houses several times made me lost contact with some elderly relatives; and I found out they had all moved to new locations further away from the city. Buy life has to go on and I still have to finish all my loose ends.

This mall has been quite extravagant as the Chinese God of Wealth is made from white jade and gilded with gold leaf! So, this statue is quite special and valuable. There was a table laying out special Chinese food and offerings to the Wealth God! I stopped for a short prayer and asked for a prosperous and successful New Year. I could feel some faint energy from this white jade Wealth God. There was a drum for people to beat with a red rope tied to a tinkle bell. All the kids wanted to have a go at this drum. It was quite fun watching parents indulging their kids. I waited for my turn to make a wish and send some drum beats to the Wealth God to listen to my request.

วันตรุษจีนปีนี้เราไม่ได้ไปไหว้พระไหว้เจ้าตามวัดจีน หรือศาลเจ้าเหมือนปีก่อน เพราะข่าวการระบาดของโรคหวัดจีนทำให้เราไม่อยากไปตามที่ที่มีคนแออัดกันมากๆ เราเคยพยายามตามหาญาติคนจีนที่เราเคยรู้จักตอนเด็กๆ เราก็ตามหาไม่เจอ เพราะต่างคนต่างย้ายบ้านกันหลายครั้ง จนขาดการติดต่อไปหลายปี เราก็เลยหาญาติผู้ใหญ่ไม่เจอ และหลายคนก็จากเราไปหลายปีแล้ว ทำให้ชีวิตเราเหมือนไม่มีญาติเหลือ พวกรุ่นใหม่ๆเราก็ไม่รู้จักเลย ไม่รู้ว่าจะได้เจอกันบ้างสักวันหรือเปล่า ต่างคนต่างวุ่นกับชีวิตประจำวันจนไม่มีเวลามาจัดงานรวมญาติ วันตรุษจีนจึงทำให้เราคิดถึงปู่ย่าตายายสายจีนของเราในอดีต ชีวิตสมัยนี้ช่างต่างจากชีวิตขิงคนโบราณมากจัง

เราดรใจที่ปีนี้ที่ห้างที่พระรามสามมีการจัดงานและตกแต่งสถานที่ ให้คนมาไหว้เทพเจ้าแห่งโชคลาภ และมาถ่ายรูปกับสถานที่สีสรรสวยงามแบบสไตล์จีน มีทั้งหนูทองคำ เทพเจ้าที่ทำจากหยกสีขาวที้งชิ้นแล้วปิดทองสวยงาม ยังมีกลองให้คนตีโดยใช้เชือกแดงผูกกับกระพรวนด้วย เวลาตีกลองเสียงจะไม่ดังมาก และมีเสียงกระพรวนด้วย เราชอบกลองใบนี้มาก เสียงไพเราะมาก งานนี้เด็กๆดูจะมีความสุขที่สุด พวกเด็กวิ่งเล่นกันคึกคักและไปค้นหาสมบัติกันอุตลุด ราวกับว่าที่นั่นมีหีบทองคำซ่อนอยู่ เราก็เลยขอถ่ายรูปเด็กๆ และรูปบรรยากาศที่มีครอบครัวมาถ่ายรูปกันอย่างอบอุ่น นี่ทำให้เราคิดถึงญาติผู้ใหญ่ของเราสมัยที่เราเป็นเด็ก เราก็เคยสนุกแบบนี้โดยมีผู้ใหญ่คอยตามใจ เราอดอิจฉาเด็กพวกนี้ไม่ได้ ชีวิตดำเนินไปอย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง เราแสดงความเคารพเทพเจ้าแห่งโชคลาภ และขอพรสำหรับปีใหม่ให้มีความมั่นคงและความสำเร็จตลอดไปด้วย

This is a very special display of an old golden Chinese Buddhist scripture. No wonder I could feel some special energy aroound the area. The management seemed very generous this year as there are special valuable and rare items on display.

ปีนี้ที่นี่มีของดีหลายอย่างในวันตรุษจีน ทางห้างค่อนข้างใจกว้างมากครั้งนี้ มีกาาแสดงพระไตรปิฏกจีนบนแผ่นทองคำให้ดูด้วย เทพเจ้าก็เป็นหยกขาวทั้งแท่งปิดทองคำ เราจึงรู้สึกถึงพลังดีๆในบริเวณนี้ ทุกคนก็มีท่าทีรื่นเริงแจ่มใสมากด้วย
