The vegetables are healthy. But, what vegetables can be called the life-saving veggies of humans?
The best answer turned out to be broccoli. According to Dr Rangan Chatterjee, author of "The Four Pillar Plan" book, the vegetables everyone should eat are broccoli.
"Broccoli is the lifesaver of life," Rangan told The Independent on Monday (14/5).
The benefits of eating broccoli are very much in the stomach, then to the intestine, and continue to spread throughout the body.
"When broccoli gets into the intestine, many bacteria will enjoy fiber and produce fatty acids," says Rangan.
Furthermore, it will force good bacteria to improve the health of body immunity. "Broccoli is not only good for digestive function, but also good for mood and brain function," said Rangan.
In the long run, broccoli can lose weight and reduce pain.
Bacteria that are able to nourish the stomach can also improve the health of the mind. Research Harvard University Medical School mentions stomach upset can cause stress and depression paa someone.
"The brain and the gastrointestinal tract are closely related," the study concluded.
Then, broccoli is also very good for heart health, eyes, prevent cancer, and lower cholesterol. To cook broccoli, avoid frying. Simply boil with water or make soup.
