Spurs Asked to Disburse Massive Funds to Defend Kane

Tottenham will have to change their financial policies to prevent Harry Kane joining a club like Real Madrid, according to former Spurs striker Les Ferdinand.

Kane has grown to become one of Europe's elite strikers in recent years, and his goal-scoring ability has always succeeded in bringing Spurs into the elite competition of European clubs.

This season Kane has scored more than 20 goals in the Premier League, just like the previous three seasons. The bomber's total has made 23 goals in 26 appearances, only three apart from his record last season.

Kane also scored one goal when Tottenham drew 2-2 in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 against Juventus yesterday.

And when asked if Spurs would be able to defend Kane, Ferdinand said in Singapore: "That is a million dollar question."

"I think they have to change the pay structure and sometimes when you have a special talent, you have to change that if you want to keep it."

"If Tottenham wants to stay competitive and continue to finish in the top four, then first they have to start winning trophies - it's something that will probably contain Harry survive, because he wants to see Tottenham win the trophy."
