The guitar is a stringed instrument played by picking, generally using a finger or a plectrum. The guitar is formed on a part of the main body with a solid neck section as the place of the string that is generally numbered six is attached. Guitars are traditionally formed from various types of wood with strings made of nylon or steel. Some modern guitars are made of polycarbonate material. In general, the guitar is divided into 2 types: acoustic and electric.

1. Acoustic guitar, with its hollow body, has been used for thousands of years. There are three main types of modern acoustic guitars: nylon-stringed acoustic guitars, string-acoustic guitars, and archtop guitars. Classical guitars are generally played as solo instruments using comprehensive fingerpicking techniques.
2. Electric guitars, introduced in the 1930s, rely on amplifiers that are electronically capable of manipulating the sound of a guitar. At the beginning of its use, electric guitar uses hollow bodies (hollow body), but then the use of solid body (solid body) felt more appropriate. Electric guitars are widely known as the main instruments in various musical genres such as blues, country, reggae, jazz, metal, rock, and various forms of pop music.
History about guitar The word 'guitar' or guitar in English, was originally derived from the name of the ancient stringed instrument in the Persian region in about 1500 BC known as the citar or sehtar. This musical instrument then developed into a variety of ancient guitar models known as the general term tanbur. In 300 BC Tanbur Persia was developed by the Greeks and six centuries later by the Romans (Bellow, 1970: 54-55). In 476M this instrument was brought by the Romans to Spain and transformed into: (1) guitarra Morisca who serves as the bearer of the melody, and (2) Guitarra Latina to play the chords. Three centuries later the Arabs brought a kind of gambus guitar with the title al ud to Spain (Summerfield, 1982: 12). Based on the construction of al ud Arab and the two guitar models from Rome, the Spanish then made their own musical instrument called vihuela. As a result, vihuela became popular in Spain while its predecessor instruments were gradually abandoned. Nevertheless al ud brought people to Western European countries and rivaled the popularity of vihuela in Spain. In Europe al ud was welcomed and developed into various European lute models until about the end of the 17th century. Meanwhile vihuela evolved into a variety of guitars for centuries until finally became a classical guitar that is used at this time.
The authenticity of the guitar can not be seen from its beauty. Some experts feel this tool comes from the African continent, where many modern replicas are in the form of round boxes like clamshells with Gut / silk thread, in many parts of the continent. Other experts found this tool in the form of glass in the reliefs of old stone reliefs in the days of Central Asia and Ancient Asia. Other materials of thought also arise with the discovery of ancient Greek vases that are patterned. Greek Strings may be the first instrument categorized as a guitar. Modern guitars are probably rooted in Spanish guitars, but different types of guitars such as instrument instruments that we can see painted in Medieval and Renaiassance paintings are widely available throughout Europe.
