A bit worrisome...it was his first running event since his diabetes diagnosis, and he was confident that he had things properly managed, but we were all waiting to see how he would do. All was well, and hopefully next time will be easier on all of us!

Diabetes seems to be on the increase here as well. Glad to hear he managed to complete the run.

It breaks my heart that he will have to worry about that now for the rest of his life . He seems to be doing well with watching and measuring what he eats and compensating with insulin injections.

To have good health is the most important thing in life and it must be very hard to face the future with this kind of challenge. Give him my best wishes and hopefully they can find a cure in his lifetime.

You know those byteball tokens that we got recently? They do support a lot of research into childhood diseases. All you have to do is let the them use your phone/laptop when it is charging to crunch numbers. I've been doing it since I got them. Every little bit helps.
