I baked these pav/ buns for dinner yesterday night along with pav bhaji ofcourse.
Everyone loved them. They want me to make it even today. Slightly lengthy procedure but it is worth it.
Please try my recipe and let me know how it turns out.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 tspn -instant dry yeast
3 cups - Maida or All purpose flour
2 tblsp - sugar
1 and 1/4 cup - water
2 tblsp - butter melted
1 tspn - salt
Method:
First, in warm the water (100 deg F) in a cup then add sugar and yeast . Mix and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Then take the flour in a pan, add the water , butter and salt and mix to make a sticky dough.
Now take this dough on a clean counter top and knead it for 8-10 mins. Take extra flour if needed.
Next keep the dough in a greased container and cover and keep aside for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, take these dough knead it for another 8-10 mins and divide in 12-15 pieces and make round shape and keep in a greased baking box or baking tray with 1 inch space between them.Now keep it aside for another 45 min to 1 hour.
Preheat the oven at 450 deg F and bake the pav for 10 mins or unitil they are light brown. Initially . you will find them hard. Let is cool on the cooling rack and they will be soft.
Freshly baked, super soft and home made pav /buns are ready to eat.
