A 16 hour drive... yikes... that cannot be comfortable.
The upside though is you get to see a lot more of the land
than you would if you decided to fly.

Well, it’s not so, so bad. We only do this pilgrimage, annually, and try to break up the trip by spending the night with a friend along the way.
Lately, we’ve experimented with taking the car (packed with our belongings) on a train, so we get to enjoy the scenic route without the hassle...
I like the train idea better. But I suppose it can't be too bad if you break it up.
