Stories spread like wildfire,
But unlike very hard to put out.
Fathomed to be a tale,
Maybe not quite would later be the thought.
Bravery and courage under day light,
Turns to be the first to run under the dark.
So was the story,
Of that night of terror.
Driving down the haunted stretch,
Swimming in a pool of spirits,
We came across a spirit by chance.
By the side of the road,
Under a big dark tree,
Sat someone cross-legged in the shadow.
Calling out loud,
We went by closer.
The thunder made us shudder,
The rain made us damp in our foolishness,
But it was the lightning that did the trick.
The sudden second long burst of light,
Made us stare into worm infested sockets,
Yet with beautiful young fresh lips,
Smiling beautifully at us.
