Khichdi- A healthy food

Today I am sharing the recipe of Khichdi, which entered the nomination of National food. It is a very nutritious staple food of North India which is eaten by both rich and poor.

Take some peeled moong dal.

Then add some green moong Dal.

Now take rice.

Mix it with dal and wash them.

Add ghee to the pressure cooker.

Add cummin, asafoetida, turmeric and salt.

Add the Dal and rice mixture to the cooker and add some water.

I have added peas and carrots also. Let your cooker whistle 6-7 times and turn the gas stove off.

Your Khichdi is ready to eat. You can add curd to it.
