The Malta Fruit has been invented by the crop of citrus maxima and orange (Citrus reticulata). [4] A developed malta called 'Bari Malta 1' has been invented in Bangladesh and some of its cultivation is being observed in the hilly areas of Bangladesh. This is a very popular result in Bangladesh, but local production is very low; Most are imported from abroad. In Urdu, it is also called 'Malta'. In Hindi it is called 'Santara' and in Assamese it is called 'Sumitihara Tenga'.
