Suddenly, Dylan notices a slight glow covering Moe's body.
"Not good!"
Dylan exclaimed as he quickly used [Shadow Doppleganger], at.the same time he kicked the floor, and...
BANG!
The place where Dylan was standing earlier explode!
"No way! How could he dodge that?!"
Moe was surprised that Dylan manages to dodge her sneak attack that uses her trump card, "Invinsible Explosion"!
While surprised, Moe felt danger, and leaped forward. But...
"Guh!"
A shadow dagger plunged itself into Moe's back. Fortunately for her, she was able to react fast. Nonetheless, the attack still inflicted massive damage, and large amount of her [HP] was taken away.
"Oh noes! Moe-tan's wounded!"
"Bastard! How dare you hurt our Moe-tan!"
"Yeah! Are you even a man?"
"Damn it! How unforgivable!"
"Don't let me know who you are, or I'm going to... going to..."
"What's wrong? Why did you trailed off?"
"Well, I was going to say that I'll challenge him in a fight. But then I remembered I'm not even C-rank!"
"...."
The crowd became rowdy after Dylan injured Moe. But he knew that the fight is far from over. Worse still, he can't use the se move again. This fact was proven by careful Moe had become.
But as Dylan contemplates, Moe did something unexpected. She...
"I give up this match!"
Moe declared loudly, while raising her right arm.
The arena was so quite that a pin dropping could easily be heard. But the silent did not last long when the crowd suddenly explode with activity.
"Eeeeehhhhh!!!"
"But why!"
"Moe-tan, don't give up! Don't you still have your super special attack?"
"It's okay, Moe-tan! Let your big brother comfort you!"
"Da hell? Who said that? Face me if you're a man!"
Dylan was surprised of Moe's decision, snd cannot help but asked.
"Why? The damage you received earlier should not have impede your ability to fight? So why did you gave up?"
Moe giggled cutely before answering.
"You're right. The damage from you last attack did not affect me that match. But you see I don't have much time right now."
Dylan got confused by Moe's answer, and could only utter a "huh?"
"Did you forget? Aside from being a "Blessed", I'm an ido too! And I just don't have much time. The truth is I'm just taking a short break from shooting a commercial. So I decided to have a quick match on the arena. I thought I could release some stress by doing so. Unfortunately, I've meet a monster like you, and it'll be difficult to decide the winner in a short time."
Moe's explanation enlightened Dylan, and the audience of the reason behind her surrender.
"Oh? My manager's nagging me through the interface right now. She's such a drag sometimes... Oh well, gotta go now. Nice meeting you Mr. Mask!"
Moe waved at her fans one last time before turning into light particles, and disappearing.
After that, the system declared Dylan as the winner—officialy becoming a B-ranker.
Removing his virtual helmet, Dylan sighed, and massaged his temple. That ascending match of his was the most intense fight he had ever since joining the virtual world.
"Such a shame that the match ended in such an anti-climatic way. But then I was able to keep my trump cards a secret. So this is good too..."
As he was thinking of such, he noticed that his badge is blinking. Picking up the badge, he saw that there's a message from the coach. The message is reminding him of the meeting tomorrow, and is advising him to rest early.
Dylan smiled after remembering that he'll be able to meet the participants from the other classes. And Dianne is most likely among them.
Thinking of such, Dylan smiled, and can't help but look forward to tomorrow's meeting. Turning of the light, Dylan tucked in for the day.
