childhood in the rain

The eardrums seem to be unable to accommodate the sound of rain cheers above the house wrapped with dozens of tin roofs. Coupled with a thundering thunderbolt that seemed to break the silence in the afternoon, occasionally followed by lightning light in the western part of Makassar. Nothing to do but wait for a rainy rain while reading a book accompanied by a cup of Toraja coffee whose smoke is still steaming with such a fragrant aroma. There were several people across the street sheltering under a broken workshop that had been left by the owner. Also visible some street children who cheerfully play the water in the middle of the rain, some of them even opened clothes to add to the splendor of the rainy atmosphere that afternoon.

Suddenly it dawned on my mind of childhood memories so wonderfully enjoyed with friends back home a few years ago. Trying to wander away through the nature of childhood memories like a google map program that seeks coordinates point to past suata makes me smile and feel lonely as if to return to the past. Playing in the rainy season on the way home from Sunday school worship made us feel that life as a child is so warm, painless. Together with friends playing while shepherding cattle accompanied by a pile of fantasy stories. Day seemed not to be released without being filled with various kinds of fun and joking with them.
