There are various ways that can be done to overcome the difficulty of sleeping at night. One of them is to pay attention to food or drink consumed before bed.
Sleeping science expert Sammy Margo says some foods can help a person to sleep better. However, there are also some foods that have the opposite effect on sleep quality.
"Although some foods and drinks are warm, some are pungent, caffeinated or high in fat and protein to interfere with sleep," not long ago.
Margo revealed there are at least five good foods consumed before going to bed. The following are the types of foods.
One of them is a banana. Good bananas are consumed before going to sleep because of the high levels of magnesium that helps the muscles become more relaxed. In addition, bananas are also high in serotonin and melatonin.
Almonds also include good foods consumed to improve sleep quality. Almonds are considered good because they have a high magnesium content like bananas. Besides almonds are also rich tryptophan.
Margo also recommends honey to improve sleep quality. Consumption of honey before bed is assessed can help stimulate the production of melatonin as well as suppress orexin, which is a chemical substance that keeps the body awake.
Oats rich in vitamins and minerals and amino acids are also considered good in improving sleep quality. The reason, vitamins, minerals and amino acids both in encouraging melatonin.
