The White House announced that Ivanka Trump would be a personal adviser to his father, President Donald Trump. As for his new job, Ivanka called will do it for free.
According to AFP, Ivanka will not be paid for her job, as well as her husband, Jared Kushner, who also serves as senior presidential staff.
"We are very pleased that Ivanka Trump took this step, and participated further as the president's daughter," the White House said.
"Ivanka's voluntary dedication demonstrates our commitment to ethics, transparency and readiness, while giving Ivanka an opportunity to participate in providing public services that she has never done before."
In recent months, since his father occupied the presidency, Ivanka, 35, is often in the White House and has offices there.
He was present when his father received the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, in January. He also participated in discussions with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, recently.
On the other hand, Ivanka's involvement in his father's official duties, called can trigger a conflict of interest.
Ivanka denied this. He said the statement was an unfounded doubt.
"There are concerns from some circles with my duty as presidential advisor, when I do all this voluntarily and I also meet all the rules, just like any other government official," Ivanka said.
"So far I have been discussing with the White House counselor as well as my personal adviser to anticipate this new role."
The official post of Ivanka Trump's new role in the White House is the President's Personal Assistant, while her husband serves as Senior Advisor to the President.
