Thanks for this very informative post. Let me just add that it is important that we identify those with the greatest reach outside of the STEEM ecosystem, and ensure we are engaging them with our upvotes, follows, resteems, and delegations. We have YouTubers on here with over 100K+ followers that don't get enough engagement. Identifying and ensuring these personalities are highly engaged will result in more enthusiasm about STEEM being transmitted to their followers. We should also be looking to recruit more of these types of individuals on to STEEM.

I would fully agree with you on this point too. There is an issue with getting seen in here and it's one which i am hoping that communities will make a difference to. These people have a huge influence over active Internet users and groups which we would love to have on the platform. Bloggers, writers, youtubers.... There needs to be a way to get them seen when they join here as they can do a lot of good for the platform.
We don't have a perfect system right now as a lot of people still use steemit which isn't the most suitable interface. Unless one of the front ends brings in a system to bring the most popular content to the top this will still be an issue. I would hope that it does get sorted soon enough as I have seen talk about solutions being built.
