Channel crossing: 1957

Anyone who has been to New Orleans in the summer knows that it rains one hour at a time, followed by hot, sunny and humid weather. On June 15, 1957, I made a brief stopover in New Orleans on my way to the ROTC Summer Camp. Shooting the original Kodachrome I in ASA 10, most of the slides I took in the rain came out too bright, something almost unheard of in slow speed movies. But somehow, I was lucky with this exposure, catching pedestrians running between raindrops with the sun peeking over Canal Street in St. Charles. 35mm Kodachrome by William D. Volkmer.

Penyeberangan kanal: 1957
